It was time for (Carlsberg beer commercial voice) "probably the best model show in the world"...
And I was in Turkey for work
Leaving Istanbul on Friday evening - direction home (Belgium)
Leaving Belgium on Saturday morning - direction Hungary
725 miles - by car
Finding a hotel on the Austrian/Hungarian border late in the evening - after more then 12 hours driving
Sunday morning at 6:30 AM (!!!)
... driving into Hungary for the last 10 miles to the show
Breakfast in the car
Arriving at the show a little before 7AM
It was empty
The website said doors would be open at 7AM
What was indeed the case
Since there are a billion photographers - including me - at this show
... they open the doors early on the 2nd day (Sunday)

And I found something to eat
I also took the time to check out the vendors area in the main building
Gaspatch Models from Greece
I'm not so much into 1/48 scale
... but those T-shirts really looked cool
And I admire all the hard work they put into their product
Do I see a Hobby Boss F4U-4 Corsair there...
A kit which was high on my list - if the price was right - and it was right (about 5 euro)

Time for a break again
It was getting more crowded - and my back started to hurt (getting old...)
I took a walk accross the street
Where the main vendor area was - inside another building of the campus
Most vendors could be found here
In the corridor - and in several classrooms...
Balaton Modell from Hungary
SKP Model
AZ Model - with their new line Kovozavody Prostejov (reviving an old name)
The new AZ Model Me-109 range - put to the test against the competition
But I picked up this JACH reboxing
Regular vendors - with all kind of kits
The MPM Group "classroom"
With several interesting bargains
New releases could be picked up for interesting prices
There was promotion for the new upcoming T-33
And at the last moment...
I got tricked into buying this - at a little less then 50 euro
Celebrity spotting !
Holding his camera, supermodeller Mig Jimenez (famous from MiG products)
... chatting with the local distributor

A look on the famous map - showing visitors from all over Europe
Outside the band was getting ready for their tunes
I grabbed something to eat again
... and oh yes
... giving in to temptation for a last time
Perhaps something to keep me busy while I was in Turkey for work
I left the place a little after 2PM
Driving north, direction Prague - to have a good rest at my girlfriends place
I needed it
Thanks all
All comments, remarks, suggestions and especially corrections are welcome
Thank you
Sadly the visitor counter was reset from 429 to 0 on January 22nd 2016, after 30 days with no visits
The downside of a free counter ...
