  Belgium

Flying back home after having spent several weeks abroad

I treated myself on a local model show the very next day

It was only a 1.5 hour drive south

And I arrived shortly after noon

This show doesn't have a contest

It's all about model clubs and model folks meeting together

And of course many vendors

The usual suspects

And some unusual suspects

Tricks to tempt you

The brand new Airfix Skytrain - in a big box

Several model clubs and individuals offered nice model collections for viewing pleasure

Retro Racing Car 43 is all about glorieus old racing cars in 1/43 scale

Such as this Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ - in the Targa Florio 1962 (I'm good in reading labels !)

Military models on show

Including a rare Mach 2 Blohm & Voss Ha.139B

The first one I ever see built

The event took place in a school

And a lot of model clubs were located in the sportshal

Including more kits for sale

The hosting club was the Amay Models Club

Amay is a small Belgian village near Huy - on the river Meuse

Some of the models of the Amay Models Club club members

Quite an impressive design

Still a nice diorama after all these years - a Belgian TF-104 in maintenance

A Belgian Mirage V as an Egg Plane

A quite colorfull Fairey Battle - in 1/48 scale

Bristol Blenheim in 1/48 scale

L'union des 88... I think you understand - great title !

Another personal model collection - this one in 1/48 scale

With a very nice Rhino

Someone must really love Panthers

Another very nice collection

Requiring much different painting skills - I guess

Several exotic old aircraft could be found in this 1/72 scale collection

1/72 scale Curtiss Hawk

Club stand of the Model Club from Wavre - another Belgian town

Les sacrifies de la übe

IPMS Charleroi

As you can see, they had an interesting D-Day theme

Something to buy to end my visit...

I had noticed RetroWings had released their new 1/144 scale Dewoitine D-500/510 series

I bought the D.510 - only 16.99 euro

The show was a good opportunity for me to get back into a modelling mood after weeks of hard work

Inspiration was at a high again...

All comments, remarks, suggestions and especially corrections are welcome...

Thank you
