Pilsen Kit 2014

I was looking forward to this first show after summer ... but my girlfriend ALSO had plans, resulting in a compromise : I could visit the show only in the morning   So I left Prague around 8AM - for a 1 hour drive   Unfortunately I got lost in Plzeň My new satnav system didn't recognize the address I had written down, and then my girlfriend texted me the wrong address   I arrived only at 10:25AM at the entrance   Meaning I only had one SMALL hour to see everything...   Having a quick look at all the classic cars outside   Every year this show invites local classic car clubs - which is a joy to see Where else could I see these old Aero cars...   But I was completely blown away by this big old Tatra T141 truck   Going inside   Life tips and tricks - from live demonstrations   Kids assisted by friendly club members - building AZ Model kits   Having a look at the aircraft categories   Since I didn't have much time - I didn't bother to use my tripod and left it in the car So most of my pictures are pure rubbish I selected the few pictures which look more or less acceptable (hence the short show report) 1/72 scale MiG-9 F   1/72 scale Me-163C - from Special Hobby - in attractive What If markings   A splendid 1/72 scale Orion (Hasegawa) - first time I see one in German markings   A very small 1/144 scale Kamov Ka-25 helicopter   Hobby Boss 1/72 scale Brewster Buffalo in unusual camo colors   1/48 scale German MiG-21   Moving over to the Military vehicles categories   1/72 scale T-34/85 from Dragon   1/72 scale Krupp L3 H63 M from Mars - a German truck you don't see that often   1/72 scale Praga V3S (scratch build)   1/72 scale M551 Sheridan - most likely the S Model kit   Another 1/72 scale Praga V3S - but a 4x4 version - and with a BZK 59 gun   Something bigger in 1/35 scale was this Heavy Tractor Voroshilovez (Trumpeter)   A very nice display... but a terrible lousy picture (like most of my other pictures)   Civilian cars & trucks categories   1/24 scale Duesenberg Dual Cowl Torpedo Phaeton 1934 - from Monogram   1/25 scale Kenworth Bullnose-Fruehauf dual tank transport   1/87 scale Tatra T812 NT + BSS N32.120 heavy weight trailer   Figure categories ... unfortunately all these pictures are unusable   Time to do some shopping ... the new EC-121 from Plus Models (ex-Heller plus a lot of resin goodies) ?   Or the new Caproni's from Special Hobby   AZ Model had several kits of their new Me-109 line on show   HR Model is one of my favorite manufacturers   Presenting the all new Sopwith Pup   The model is an improvement (especially in detail) over the old but still nice Airfix kit It will be available for sale on e-Day (end of September)   So I only bought the new Avia S-199 from Kovozavody Prostejov - at 200 CZK (8 euro)   At 11:30AM I was already back on my way to Prague   It was a much too short visit and not the best start for my Post Summer Modeling Season But sometimes family obligations take precedence...
