Les Caméléons - Expo 2014

It was the first time I visited this show   It is a relative new show in Belgium - being organized for the 2nd time now   A 90 minutes drive south   After picking up a friend, we arrived around noon (stock photo)   Inside... many model clubs and a few vendors   The contest was on the balcony   Several aircraft - in all scales - could be found in the competition   A Tu-95 big Bear in 1/144 scale   I was happy to see a build of this classic 1/72 scale Heller kit of the Amiot 143   1/48 scale Fairey Firelfy   1/48 scale diorama with a Tamiya Mk.VI Bristol Beaufighter   Dirty Dora gunship diorama in 1/48 scale   Lt Commander Duncan Hamilton in front of his Mk.Ib Seafire - Kenya 1943 (1/48 scale)   1/72 scale Spitfire Mk.Vb floatplane in a nice little diorama   Very sharp F-84 Thunderjet in 1/48 scale   Magnificent 1/72 scale Turkish Air Force F-5B   1/48 scale desert Stuka   Categories were not split by scales - but by Beginners, Advanced and Master sub categories The Aircraft Masters category   French Air Force Vought F4U-7 Corsair - in 1/48 scale   1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.XVIe in Cooper Trophy markings   There were as many military vehicle entries - as aircrafts   1/35 scale winter Tiger   "Looking for Monty" - 1/35 scale   The Red Baron - gun truck - in assembly stage (1/35 scale)   Trumpeter 1/35 scale 2S19 "Msta-S" 152mm howitzer   My show favorite - nice wheels on this 1/35 scale Horch Kfz.15 !   Seemingly a veteran of many battles - this 1/35 scale Soviet KV-2   1/35 scale IDF M-151 - probably the CMK conversion   M-109A6 Paladin - in 1/35 scale   Note the dog - in this 1/35 Iraq diorama   T-34/76 Bergepanzer (1/35 scale)   LVT(A)-1 Alligator - in 1/35 scale   "Oversize Load" - impressive work in 1/72 scale, the M1070 and M1000 trailer from (probably) Balaton Modell   IDF D9R dozer from Balaton Modell (1/72 scale)   "En route pour Dunkerque" (1/35 scale)   Small 1/35 scale vignette with a 20mm Flakvierling 38   1/35 scale ChTZ S-65 Tractor and 152mm howitzer   Pink Panther Land Rover - Tamiya (1/35 scale)   A StuG 33 in action in Stalingrad (1/35 scale)   1/35 scale GTU 1 tractor in Prypiat area (based on the Trumpeter T-55)   A very fine BT-7 tank (1/35 scale)   A big KV-85 (1/35 scale)   Autocanon De Dion Bouton - in 1/35 scale   1/35 scale S-21 Scarab - with some excellent weathering   1/35 scale IDF Tiran   "The Last of the Frozen Chosin" - a cool diorama in 1/48 scale   Not that many Figure models on the contest tables   "The Hindenburg Line" - Arras, France 1917   "L'aube" - Normandie 1944   Grenadier Belge 1914   Minotaur   Lucky Jane   Well painted bust   "Mons 1914"   The categories for civilian vehicles   The surprise of the show for me was this sweet 1/25 scale Mustang conversion   Pretty original work on classic Mustangs   Even the barn find looks nice   A more modern version : 1/25 scale 2013 Mustang Boss 302   1/24 scale Volkswagen Kharmann   1/25 scale Dodge Charger SRT8   A few ships participated in the contest S.M.S. Emden and S.M.S. Dresden - brotherly (or sisterly) together   USS Ticonderoga CG-47 - in 1/1250 scale - from HobbyBoss   Driving back home later in the day   With only one souvenir - the current Revell reissue of this classic kit   It was a short but very enjoyable visit to a smaller show - definitely a nice way to spend a Saturday All comments, remarks, suggestions and especially corrections are welcome Thank you
