The biggest show in the Netherlands ... had found a new home : Expo Houten
It was still a 1.5 hours drive north for me
I left somewhere after 10AM in the morning
... arriving around noon
At the new location : Expo Houten ... about 50 kms south of Amsterdam
Entrance fee was 7 euro
The event is organised by IPMS Nederland (IPMS Netherlands)
I set out to explore the first hall...
Airliners & Civil Aviation SIG
Many smaller regional clubs were attending the show
Another SIG : the Royal Netherlands Air Force
This was one of the coolest things I have ever seen
One of the regional IPMS chapters had several displays of museums...
In a very cool presentation
There was also a military museum...
People watching an instruction video
... which was really playing !
And there was an aviation museum...
This very same idea has been on my mind for a long time
But I never got around working it out So it was good to see these examples
The Revell promo booth
With a new kit of the Black Pearl
And the new P-51 Mustang built up
I was interested in the many 2nd hand vendors
Very appropiate at this show...
I found a small scale Etendard
... I had to adopt it
Heller inspiration
A SIG visiting from the UK
... and a model club visiting from the UK
More 2nd hand kits I wonder what the prices will be
Not my scale - but it's the first time I see this kit
Moving into the 2nd hall...
I was looking for a 1/32 scale classic sportscar for a future project
Some 2nd hand reading material
A family selling many old classic kits from a collector who had passed away
The new big scale Tigercat
Local vendors...
Alfred van Netburg was selling plastic aircraft model kits his father made during his life
They sold about 80 of them... still about 550 to go Next opportunity will be the Aviation Collectors Fair at Schiphol Airport / Amsterdam on 25 February 2018
I was thirsty ! Time for a break
... before moving into the 3rd hall
Where we found a Czech vendor with new Czech kits
... with new Czech kits
This one was at the top of my shopping list
Another vendor had promotions due to damaged boxes
