Flanders Modelling Festival 2019

There are always good bargains at this show   Especially when you arrive early   What means (sigh...) getting up early   This year our good friend Claus would join me   I picked him up at 7AM at his hotel in Brussels   Unfortunately - and embarrasingly for me - my old car broke down halfway to Antwerp   Claus - the gentleman he is - had brought some goodies for me Now was a good time to surprise me with this... a classic Belgian car kit   ... and (too !) many other kits - including a few vac kits   A few hours later we got towed home   I borrowed the car of the parents ... and we were back on the road   Of course we arrived much later   Luckily there were still plenty of good things to be found   One of my favorite vendors at this show is Modellbaustudio Rhein-Ruhr   Whit lots of interesting conversion kits   Do I spot a civilian P-61... ?   Inside the box is the old Frog P-61 kit with civilian decals It was the last box available - of 20 made ... and there was a civilian group build coming up   A brand new release was a Belgian Super Electra   ... and a resin Fieseler F.2 Tiger (I had never heard of this type - but it looked interesting enough...)   We had a look at the contest area ... consisting of two long tables   One of them with mostly aircraft models in several categories...
