This was the second time Eday took place in Lysá ... about 40 kms (25 miles) outside of Prague Though it was my first visit - due to having a cold last year
This year I managed to stay healthy
... and I flew to Prague the evening before
My girlfriend helped me with the time tables for the train
And the next morning I got up early
One hour later I was queueing at the entrance of the show ... opposite of the local train station
Entrance fee was 150 czk (about 6 euro)
But you got a free entrance kit The new 1/144 scale Eduard (Platz) P-51 kit - in the markings of a locally operated warbird (... which would do a fly past in the early afternoon... but I missed this )
Inside... ... one big hall full of all things model related
Lots of things do to
Lots of vendors to check out
After a quick walk through the hall ... I started taking pictures ... of the aircraft categories
Starting with the small 144 scale entries
There were again a lot of 1/72 scale entries ... slightly outnumbering the 1/48 scale entries
Note the engine...
Moving to the bigger 1/48 scale entries ... with a lot of Mustangs and 109's
1/32 scale entries
All the military categories were on another row of tables
Starting again with the smaller scales 1/76 and (mostly) 1/72
1/48 scale
1/35 scale
All other categories could be found on another long row of tables
What If - in de Science Fiction category
Paper models in the "Everything else" category Indeed ... this is a paper model !
For one reason or another this Monogram B-29 was also in this category
There were many club stands ... where you could admire club models - or chat with the club members
One club had an interesting display of old communist era VEB Plasticart models
Late in the morning Mr Vladimir Sulc did a Q & A session with the audience ... in Czech ! (So I still have no idea if Eduard will release a Royal Class Vickers Windsor next year)
R/C guys were also welcome
You could take a break and enjoy a coffee outside
... or have lunch
In the afternoon Mr Alfred Riedel from Special Hobby did a Q & A session ... also in Czech I think I heard something about a 1/72 scale B-10
First hand reference material
The Eduard booth ... busy as ever !
I was looking for the newly released IBG PZL P.11A ... but it was nowhere to be found
Another brand new 1/72 scale release making its debut at this show
Kora Models
... with a lot of propeller logo decals
... which can always be useful
But I was interested in the Dewoitine D.53
An ideal subject for the Highstrutters group build
Some empty boxes revealed the next new releases from Kora Models Early Siskin variants and two seater variants !
I also got me some other extra's

Flying back home on Monday morning
Some other things I picked up ... one of KP's best classics : only 80 czk (about 3 euro)
Another highstrutter - at only 90 czk (almost 4 euro)
This was for me the best Eday edition I ever attended I took almost 1,000 pictures - making it myself very difficult to make a balanced selection for this report If you want to see more - I recommend you to book a trip to Prague for next year
