This is one of my favorite local shows The theme for this year : The Israel Defense Forces
It is only an half hour drive for me
The show takes place in a local school
It is organized by KMK - or the Blueshirts ... one of the local clubs
The contest was in one of the classrooms
Sadly I didn't have my old tripod with me ... as I had forgotten it on the train after my visit to Pilsenkit 2 weeks ago
So all pictures are courtesy of my smartphone ... hence a lower quality of the images
Starting with the aircraft categories...
The smallest - and only 144 scale entry...
Diorama's - with aircraft
A Blenheim crash in Belgium - May 1940 ... with the (then young) great aunt of the builder posing in front of it
This show is popular with military modelers ... hence a bigger number of entries in these categories
1/72 scale entries...
The bigger scales ... mostly 1/35 scale
"Fear of the real bear" A diorama with a good sense of humor
Note the real bears... ... and the running men
The figure categories...
This is where the poor quality of my smartphone images becomes noticeable
It's nice to see more and more animal models
Much to my surprise there were a lot of entries in the civilan vehicle categories
I couldn't pass this by without taking dozens of pictures
As usual, there were only a few models in the ship categories ... though they were original
The junior category
The naked kit category ... of unpainted models
Of course I also spent some time in the other 3 spaces of the show
... filled with many club stands
... and many vendors Of course
Discounts making life difficult
Considering building trucks for a moment...
Some rare kits ... including a Beech RU-8D resin kit
There were several book vendors...
And vendors were you could find all kind of tools and paints...
I was surprised this brand new release was already available at the show ... at 18,50 euro - it followed me home
Something to drive around the pilots of my 1/72 scale WW-I aircraft
Of course my WW-2 pilots also liked to have some transportation
The odd buy of the month Not sure why I got it it - perhaps because of the rarety and the cheap price I guess...
The show focusses more on military vehicles and figures ... what explains my haul ... but still I drove home a happy man
As usual time flew by again Luckily I got some good memories back in return ... and some kits - and some crappy pictures (for which I still apologize) Thank you all for your interest and support All comments, remarks, corrections, suggestions are welcome
